The Brieftons manual chopper is my favorite chopper to date! The kids love helping me with dinner and lunch now because they are able to chop up the veggies! I just have to put them in and then they can do the rest! I haven’t had a problem yet!
Kristine
My family is a veggie family, so we absolutely love vegetables. Even my 2 daughters adore them just as much as I do, so yes, I’m a very lucky mother! I found out about vegetable choppers a year back and bought myself one, but I recently purchased the Ninja food chopper as the one I had was a manual version. Because we’re a family that has veggies almost with every meal, this has helped me to prepare them so much quicker! I’m now able to prepare more diverse meals for my children’s lunch breaks at school and for when we have family nights with our extended families who are also veggie lovers!
Josh
I have the vegetable chopper pro onion chopper by Bellemain because I am ALWAYS chopping up onions for my grandparents. I’m one of those who can’t handle chopping onions, so I bought this to have in their house whenever I drop by and I’m telling yah, it has been working wonders! I hardly get any tears coming out, plus, I tried using it to chop other kinds of vegetables and it works like a charm on these too.
Mike
I didn’t know that chopper for vegetables can come in electric form, so once I read about the Hamilton brand chopper, I bought it. Compared to cutting vegetables by hand, this is a huge upgrade and a worthwhile one too! You can practically chop any vegetables so long as it fits in the container and it’ll chop them into bits, so I use thisa lot for my fried rice and stir fries.
Karl
Hey, what are some things you’ve done to get rid of the juices from the chopped vegetables?
Sandra Hill
Thank you very much for asking! That’s a very common question that people ask and I’ve done quite a few things to remove them. One thing that you can do, which is very easy, is use a strainer after chopping your desired vegetables. When it comes to vegetables that are very juicy, such as tomatoes, you could place some paper towels on the bottom of the container to soak up the juices as they’re chopped. This also creates less mess as the juice won’t come pouring out, then you can just easily grab the paper towels and throw them away. I would avoid using this method on electric blades that reach the bottom of the container, however, as it would ruin the paper towel, thus your vegetables in-turn. I hope this helps!

I was looking for a manual vegetable chopper to buy for my mum for her birthday and I ended up getting one for my sister too! I bought two different types because my sister is totally different to my mum, pretty much like her opposite, so I picked the Kithouse 4 in 1 for my sister as she loves things that come in sets and the Mueller vegetable chopper for my mum because of its durability. My mum doesn’t like any electric kinds because she gets too scared of them so she tends to prefer to do things manually and simply.
Julie
Out of everything in this review, even though I haven’t purchased anything yet (still deciding on how much I want to spend on a vegetable chopper and if I want an electric one or not), I just want to express my appreciation for the buyer’s guide section. The information there helped me a lot about how important tools are because it’s true, you shouldn’t go out there and buy whatever you see, especially now that they make so many different kinds that it really can get confusing. I wasn’t into researching much, but I’ve been motivated now that I know the value of materials, durability, things like that, so thank you for the article!
Georgia
I’m not too big into fancy vegetable choppers but my cooking teacher recommended that our class find one to practice our vegetable preparations with, so I just went with the simple kind by Vidalia. I’ve actually been using it a lot, so I’m glad I bought this!
Patrick
When I went to pick my girlfriend up from her best friend’s house, I had to wait in the kitchen while they finished getting ready for church and I saw her having two of these vegetable choppers! I’m not sure why she had two but one of them was an electric and the other was a manual kind. I ended up asking her what they were and she mentioned the Hamilton brand and some other brand that’s not listed here. Weeks later, I bought my girlfriend one for our monthsary and she actually laughed at me but was also super happy. I didn’t know much about them and I wanted her to have something different from her friend, so I picked the Fullstar Cutter-Veggie Spiralizer. At first, I thought I made a bad choice because it wasn’t your typical chopper, but she loved it in the end because she’s always making all sorts of veggie noodles now. Then the other day, I found out that her best friend got one of these too!
Mallory
I have tried the Mueller Onion Chopper out myself and it really wasn’t all that great. It seemed to always be getting stuck on the onions and wasn’t all that sharp. Even though I rarely used it. Maybe it was a defect but I’ve moved on to other alternatives already.
Kim
I like the Brieftons manual food chopper because once you’re done chopping the vegetables, you can just set the container on the table and take from it! Very convenient for salads and the like.
Victoria
I know that a lot of people like to have an electric one but I just feel ok with my manual vegetable chopper. I actually enjoy making zucchini noodles and anything else vegetable related with my own two hands. I like to do this on my own and I also like to have my 4 year old daughter to help me. This time spent with her is very special.
If I ever decide to get an electric one I will buy the ninja food chopper express chop.
Cathy
I have a big family to feed, so it’s a big thing for me to find something that can cater to this size. I like that this is pointed out in the review (the buyer’s guide) because I’ve had many friends who have bought the same product but an upgraded version just to have more available. I’m the kind who is a bit more conservative with my spending, so I always try to find the right product for what I need now and later in the future. So, I personally like the Hamilton because of how quick it can chop vegetables and how easy it is to just add more to chop for a large group. I can also allow my kids to use it because it’s safe for them to use.
Deborah
This is a great review of the food chopper. The Brieftons manual chopper is my favorite chopper to date! The kids love helping me with dinner and lunch now because they are able to chop up the veggies! I just have to put them in and then they can do the rest! I haven’t had a problem yet!
